Your Performance Ceiling Is Higher Than You Think

Most people never find out how much better they could actually perform. It does not matter if you are competing at the Olympic level or just trying to feel strong again, nearly everyone is guessing at what is holding them back instead of testing for it.

Dr. Tom and the Causenta team have spent 30 years answering that question for athletes at every level, and for people who have never set foot on a field but want that same edge.

The testing does not change based on who you are. What changes is what you do with the answer.

Performance Built on Data, Not Assumption

Standard sports medicine diagnoses structural injuries and recommends rehabilitation. It does not test mitochondrial function, oxidative stress load, intracellular micronutrient status, hormone optimization, or sleep architecture. All of these can influence your performance ceiling.

For Competitive Athletes

Standard sports medicine diagnoses structural injuries and recommends rehabilitation. It does not test mitochondrial function, oxidative stress load, intracellular micronutrient status, hormone optimization, or sleep architecture. All of these can influence your performance ceiling.

For Everyone Else

You do not need a competition to justify wanting to perform at your best. Non-athletes come to Causenta for energy, metabolism, body composition, cognitive performance, and aging without functional decline. The biology is the same. The competitive context is different.

Sports We Work With

We focus on coaching the athlete within a sport. Because the physiological demands of a NASCAR driver, a CrossFit athlete, and a golfer are vastly different, our protocols are calibrated to the specific metabolic, biomechanical, and oxidative stressors of your discipline.

We have optimized performance for athletes competing in:

Baseball

Basketball

Cycling

Football

Golf

Hockey

MMA

Power Lifting

Running

Snow Sports

Soccer

Strength & Conditioning

Tennis

Frequently Asked Questions About the Causenta Clinic

How is Causenta different from a functional medicine practice?

Most functional medicine practices test more than conventional care does. Causenta tests at a level most functional medicine practices do not, particularly at the intracellular level. We also have on-site advanced therapies (HOCATT, EWOT, Hyperthermia, PEMF) most practices have to refer out for.

Do I need a diagnosis to come to Causenta?

No. Many patients come to Causenta before a formal diagnosis. They come because they know something is not right and want to find out what.

How long does treatment typically take?

It depends on the condition and how long it has been present. Many patients report noticing changes within 60 to 90 days, though timelines vary widely by condition and individual. We're honest about realistic timelines during your free consultation.

Do you accept insurance? How does payment work?

Causenta does not bill insurance for clinical care. Consultation rate is $350/hour. First visits are billed at $700 to $1,400 total. Plan to spend 4 to 6 hours with our team. HSA and FSA accepted. Payment plans available. Itemized receipts can be submitted for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

Do you work with out-of-state or international patients?

Yes. Many of our patients travel from out of state, and we work with patients from more than 90 countries. We coordinate logistics and communication with your home care team.
